U2 x The Kennedy Honors

When U2 were selected as honorees for the Kennedy Center Honors, we were invited to create an original film that could live up to the band’s immense creative legacy. It wasn’t just about celebrating their music—it was about capturing the spirit of U2 as cultural changemakers, musical poets, and global citizens.

Our creative solution was to craft a visual poem—woven entirely from the band’s own lyrics—spoken by a new generation of artists who’ve been shaped by U2’s influence. With powerful performances from Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Finneas, and Beyoncé, the film became a layered homage: a lyrical narrative delivered by voices of today in honor of voices that have endured for over 40 years.

Set to a custom score by Totem Music—built from samples of U2’s vast catalog—the film traces a journey through the real-world events that inspired their music, and the cultural movements that their music helped to shape.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Kennedy Center, CBS, and Done + Dusted for trusting us with this extraordinary tribute to one of the most impactful bands of all time.
