VISUAL IDENTITY
Sony Pictures Cinemacon 2025
Another project captured 100% in-camera. Sony Pictures asked us to refresh their visual identity, and we pitched doing it the old-fashioned way. We built their iconic studio logo in four-foot, hand-crafted steel, suspended it mid-air, and captured it in macro detail using a motion-control robotic camera system.
Most crucially, we honored the studio’s tentpole theatrical releases and genres by projecting custom, high-resolution content onto a 50-foot video wall behind the logo—allowing us to capture authentic, realistic reflections and create a fully immersive image that seamlessly blends brand and story. In the spirit of practical filmmaking, we even dripped fake blood down the steel logo to bring the horror genre to life… no shortcuts, no CG.
The final content premiered globally, playing live at CinemaCon inside Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, and traveling as far as Bangkok. Proof that old-school craft still hits, everywhere.
